In the already planned areas, construction has been permitted up to stili plus three floors. The Cabinet approved the draft rules on October 28.
Under the bylaws, plots measuring up to 200 square yards can be developed along roads with a minimum width of 30 feet. For plots larger than 200 sq yds, the minimum road width has been fixed at 40 feet. The move is aimed at paving the way for the implementation of the Apartment Act in the state. Once enforced, the Act will allow the sale of individual food in residential buildings, as subdivision of land is currently not permitted in the state.
