Panaji: With influenza cases on the rise as the monsoon climate is favourable to viru-ses, doctors have advised peo-ple to get checked, not to igno-re symptoms, and practise hand-washing as a preventi-ve action. When it comes to children, the elderly, and peo-ple with comorbidities who are more vulnerable, doctors have asked them to be more cautious because dismissing symptoms may see the ill-ness progress to pneumonia.
