The Haryana Electricity Regulatory Commission (HERC) has ordered an independent expert assessment of the Haryana Government’s proposal to grant a parallel electricity distribution licence in Gurugram and Nuh to Delhi-based Eleven Power Private Ltd.
The decision came after hearing the petitioner, state authorities and objectors, including INLD national patron and for-mer Finance Minister Prof Sampat Singh, who power distribution argued that handing over private company effectively ramser pichlic infrastructure and rev-enue ate hands, adversely affecting public interest.
