NEW DELHI, 12 JUNE The revocation pension of H guest teacher echa Dalal with-Public in criticism has a local adminis-trative action into a wider debate on the rights of gov-ernment employees to par-ticipate in peaceful public protests. Dalal, a teacher and sup-porter of the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP), was sus-pended through an order issued by the district elemen-education officer after she attended a protest organ-ised by the party at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi on June 6.
The order, effective from June 8, cited a violation of conduct rules and stated that she had failed to seek prior permission before participat-ing in such activities. It also restricted her movement by directing that she could not leave her headquarters with-out approval from the com-petent authority.
